Assimilated Regulation (EU) 2018/858 requires VCA to maintain and make public a list of all GB type approvals granted, extended, revised, refused, and withdrawn.

Notes on register content
- The report contains records of approvals actioned since the legal obligation took effect on 1st September 2024. VCA will consider adding records that pre-date this obligation in future once the relevant data validation and migration of historic records has taken place.
- The report only contains records relating to vehicles of category M, N, and O, and their components. A decision on whether to publish an equivalent list relating to approvals for L, C, R, S and T category vehicles, as well as engines for non-road mobile machinery, will be taken at a later date when GB type approval frameworks are implemented for these categories.
- The approval holder field is populated with data from the ‘company name and address of manufacturer’ field on the approval certificate. This field is not equivalent to vehicle or component ‘make’ listing the trade name of the manufacturer, though the names may be common in some cases.
