Welcome to the VCA Portal

Type Approval enquiries and applications for all schemes must now be made through our self-service portal. 

Essential maintenance and upgrades – Please note that the portal will be unavailable from 4:00pm to 8:00pm BST on Thursday 24 October.

Portal Update

The portal was updated on 24 October, we have now:

Bulk Upload – The issues that have affected the reliability of bulk upload have been resolved.

Addition of Production Discontinued – You can now submit a request to notify us of the discontinuation of production.

Type Field – We have increased the character limit in the Portal Type Field from 100 to 2000.

Submitting incomplete orders – We’ve changed the validation so that all mandatory information is required to submit a work order. If a submission is made with incomplete information, the order/s will be displayed at the top of the order item list.

On this page you can:

Register your organisation for a portal account for the first time
Login to the portal to review the status of an existing application
Login to the portal to submit a new application for:
– GB, UKNI, or UNECE Type Approval(s) and/or Provisional Type Approval(s)
– AES/BES Assessments.
Use portal sign-in to:
Submit a new application for:
– GB, UKNI, or UNECE Type Approval(s) and/or Provisional Type Approval(s)
– AES/BES Assessments.
Review the status of your organisation’s existing Type Approval and Provisional Type Approval application(s)

Portal Sign-in
Use portal registration to:
Apply for a VCA portal account for your organisation for the first time (registration is required for each invoicing account)
If your supplied details are confirmed and accepted, you will receive an email notification to the supplied email address which applied for the account. This will provide an invite code for you to continue with your registration.
