Bodies appointed to inspect transportable pressure equipment in the UK
This page was last updated on 24th May 2024The inspection bodies listed below are appointed by the competent authority of the UK to undertake certain functions in accordance with the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 (as amended)
The type of pressure equipment each body may inspect is defined by the most recent Schedule of Accreditation to be recognised by the VCA. In most (but not all) cases this will be the latest revision published on the UKAS website, www.ukas.com. The status of recognition may be checked with the VCA (tanks@vca.gov.uk)
