Welcome to the home page for VCA Australia, for Type Approval services for industry.

The VCA Australia office was established on 1 July 2008. The office provides Type Approval Product Certification services to automotive component and vehicle manufacturers.  Products we support include vehicles such as trailers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, as well as components fitted to road vehicles.

Some of the services provided include Conformity of Production assessments, test laboratory appraisals, Type Approval witness testing, and guidance through the United Nations ECE Regulation and/or European EC Type Approval process.

The office’s General Manager, Howard Danielson, helped open the office in 2008 and continues to lead the office going forward. Howard was instrumental in the success of other overseas offices such as the US, Japan and Malaysia offices, and brings a significant level of Type Approval experience to the table.  The Australia office is supported by Type Approval engineer Paul Tran, who joined VCA in 2014.
